04th May 2023 –  Innovaccer Inc., the data platform that accelerates healthcare innovation, announced its collaboration with Alliance India, a development organisation, for carrying out social responsibility activities such as providing quality-assured antiretroviral medicines (ARV) and nutrition kits to infants and children living with HIV (CLHIV) in India. There are 81,000 children living with HIV who account for 3.4% of all people living with HIV.

Paediatric HIV is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide. Non adherence to the ART, and skipping any of the medicines given under the therapy, allows the virus to multiply and even increases the risk of the virus mutating into a drug-resistant version. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that children and their families have access to the necessary medicines, nutrition, information, and support to adhere to their treatment plan.

Innovaccer employees also participated in the distribution of nutrition kits to the most vulnerable children living with HIV in the Delhi NCR region at one of Alliance India’s Care and Support Centres. A total of 310 nutrition kits (Poshan Packs) have been provided containing comestibles like pulses, soya chunks, groundnuts, sprouts and soaps among other things at four locations in Delhi NCR.

“The partnership between Innovaccer and Alliance India to ensure adherence to ART to children living with HIV is a positive step towards addressing the challenges faced by these children and their families,” said Rajiv Dua, Chief Executive at Alliance India. “It is crucial to ensure that children have access to the life-saving drugs they need to manage their condition and lead healthy lives.”

Mr Satyajit M Menon, Global Head of People Experience at Innovaccer, agrees and points out that healthcare is increasingly becoming more collaborative and digital, and needs to bring together resources to improve health outcomes across the entire care ecosystem.

“This partnership between Innovaccer and Alliance India highlights the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing the challenges faced by children living with HIV and their families,“ Menon said. “We strive to live by the value of winning as a team, and this initiative is another step in our ongoing efforts to ensure we overcome these challenges. It is crucial to continue to work towards reducing the burden of pediatric HIV and improving the health outcomes of affected children.”

The two organisations have also partnered to promote inclusion at the workplace.  As a part of this initiative, Alliance India conducted a workshop on awareness of gender and sexuality at Innovaccer’s Noida Office. The workshop was organised on 31st March 2023 to observe the International Transgender Day of Visibility and solidify the commitment towards celebrating diversity in workplace settings.
