Programme Officer: Prison Intervention

Reporting to Programme Manager: Prison Intervention, the Programme Officer shall provide programmatic, technical, and organisational development support to partner agencies under this programme. The Programme Officer will support programme development and capacity building, advocacy activities, and promoting documentation of good practice in HIV/AIDS programmes being implemented by the organisation with a special focus to prison intervention. The person will also ensure synergy among various programme verticals at Alliance India. This position under the prison interventions component will focus on the health of incarcerated people, including but not limited to health screening at the time of arrival, HIV test, TB screening and, wherever possible viral hepatitis screening, etc. It will also focus on linking for treatment, treatment adherence, ensuring follow-up, post-release and index testing where possible, and linking family members to social protection. The position is expected to develop and maintain healthy relationships with state-level government and other stakeholders to implement the programme effectively. The position will be located in Mizoram. Alliance India reserves the right to transfer the position to any of the programme intervention locations based on the requirement of the programme.
