Project Sanjeevan, meaning ‘New Life’, is an initiative by Alliance India in collaboration with the Karnataka Network of Positive People (KNP+), with support from Teva Pharmaceuticals. Launched in August 2024 in Bengaluru, the project focuses on promoting nutritional accessibility, physical health, and emotional well-being of Children Living with HIV (CLHIV).
Why Sanjeevan?
Children living with HIV continue to face barriers such as malnutrition, weak immunity, stigma, and poor mental health. Bengaluru alone is home to over 44,000 people living with HIV, making it a high-priority region for targeted support that addresses both physical and emotional needs.
Our Approach
Sanjeevan follows a holistic, community-based model that combines nutrition, health monitoring, and psychosocial care. Over the project period, Sanjeevan reached 553 children, supporting them and their caregivers through:
