Empowering Key Populations for Sustainable HIV Prevention: Avahan in Andhra Pradesh 2003 – 2014

This report is a compilation of successes, challenges, and impact of Avahan, a targeted intervention programme, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and implemented for female sex workers, men who have sex with men, and transgender in 13 districts of Telangana and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh (AP).

Alliance India builds capacity, provides technical support and advocates to strengthen the delivery of effective, innovative, community-based HIV programmes to vulnerable populations affected by the HIV epidemic.
