Counsellor

The Counsellor will provide need-based counselling to community members, including transgender and gender diverse persons, on issues related to gender, sexuality, HIV risk reduction, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and Gender Affirming Care (GAC). The nature of role is on a part-time engagement includes guiding individuals on gender identity and supporting access to relevant welfare schemes, social protection measures, and entitlements. The Counsellor will promote a holistic approach to health and wellbeing by addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of the transgender community and supporting their overall development and inclusion. They will also disseminate information on transgender health and rights in a clear and accessible manner and maintain records of community interactions in prescribed formats on a periodic basis, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards
